2.5 Walk
Today’s planner called for a 5 mile run, but I didn’t have it in me. So I went out and did something at least.

5 Miler
Easy 5 miles (1:08) in ma new shoes! And my new running shorts! I’m all cute and stylin' in my running gear!
Edit: I say easy and mean I went easy on the pace. I ran at a nearby park that is pretty hilly so...

Race #3 Complete!
So I ran the Spring into wellness 10k today and I finished dead last.
I ran it in 1:20:04 according to the clock. I’m perfectly ok with
finishing last and I’m actually kind of happy.
In previous races I’ve always said I don’t want to finish last. I didn’t say that this time and although I was the slowest runner out there, I finished all the same as the person who finished first and I never gave up, even when I was well aware I’d be last and that there were still a couple of miles to go.
I ran my pace and I finished without injury. I’m incredibly proud and I’m setting my sights on the half marathon in 3 weeks. I realize that I’ve been out of practice and now that the weather has warmed up it’s time to start hitting the pavement more and the treadmill less.

A Doomed Run...
I couldn’t sleep and I felt better than I have in weeks so I decided
to make a midnight gym run. I should have stayed home. I went to the gym
with my eyes set on a 5 miler, planning on an hour and ten minutes on
the treadmill and for the first 1.5 miles I was feeling good. At a
little before 2 miles my iPhone/mileage and time keeper died. So I just
said forget about and relied on the treadmill and vowing to find a way
to get credit for all five miles on nikeplus. Then somewhere between
mile 2.6 and 2.8 I knocked that stupid red thingy out of its little
magnetic home and completely stopped the treadmill.
I gave up. Now I’m eating girl scout cookies. I’m not ashamed…
